Dr. Singen Elliott graduated from Cornell University in 2010 with a BS in Animal Science. Dr. Elliott went on to the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary medicine for a year as a research intern, where he worked with dairy cows, helping with clinical field trials, and developing protocols for harvesting primary cell lines of bovine keratinocytes and coincubation assays with treponema bacteria for studying bovine digital dermatitis. He returned to Cornell University for veterinary school where he worked as a large animal surgery technician and was awarded the ACVS Student Surgeon award. Throughout his undergraduate and veterinary degrees, Dr. Elliott also worked at Cornell’s Equine Performance Testing Center assisting in upper airway research and clinical evaluation of patient airways. After graduating from vet school, Dr. Elliott went on to an internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center in 2015, followed by an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in 2016. In 2017 he moved on to the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital for a 1 year specialty internship in surgery and emergency and critical care, after which he was kept on as a surgical resident. Dr. Elliott has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy and arthroscopy, upper airway surgery, GI surgery, and fracture repair along with sports medicine and general emergency and critical care. In his spare time, Dr. Elliott is an active triathlete, and loves spending time with his wife Beth, a board-certified small animal surgeon and equestrian athlete, and their daughter, Fallon. dr_elliott@midatlanticequine.com
