Dr. Emily Hellstrom obtained her veterinary degree at Texas A&M University prior to completing an internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala where the impact of research on veterinary practice was made evident to her. She is dedicated to improving postoperative outcomes for surgical colic patients. She is currently pursuing a PhD at North Carolina State University in the laboratory of Dr. Anthony Blikslager.
