Dr. Marvel obtained her DVM from the University of Wisconsin in 2009. She then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Colorado State University. She stayed at Colorado State University and completed a residency in small animal surgery in 2013. Following her surgery residency she completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at the Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University. She achieved board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons to become an ACVS Diplomate (Small Animal) in 2014. Dr. Marvel has an interest in minimally invasive surgery and was an ACVS Fellow, Minimally Invasive Surgery (Small Animal Soft Tissue) in 2021. She currently works as an assistant professor in general surgery at Colorado State University.
