Dr. Pozzi is the director of the Clinic of Small Animal Surgery and head of the Small Animal Department at the University of Zurich. After graduating at the University of Milan in 1997, he completed an internship and residency at The Ohio State University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2013. From 2007 to 2014, he worked at the University of Florida where he was appointed associate professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine and adjunct professor at the College of Medicine and the College of Engineering. In 2014, he was appointed professor and director of the Clinic of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Zurich, where he leads a team focusing on neurosurgery, orthopedics, sport medicine, and oncologic surgery. Dr. Pozzi collaborates with engineers and medical doctors with the goal of finding better treatment solutions for dogs and for human patients. His clinical and research focus areas include minimally invasive orthopedics, joint replacement, and canine sports medicine.
