Staff Radiologist
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine
Media, Pennsylvania
Dr. Reetz is a board-certified radiologist who primarily works in academia (small animal hospital at the University of Pennsylvania) but also works in private practice (local practices and teleradiology). She attended veterinary school at the University of Tennessee, earning her degree in 1997. She originally trained as a large animal internist, doing an equine ambulatory internship at the Ohio State University, followed by a large internal medicine residency at Cornell University, after which she achieved ACVIM board certification in 2001. After several years in equine private practice, she switched career paths and started a diagnostic imaging residency at the University of Pennsylvania. After finishing her residency and obtaining ACVR board certification in 2006, she stayed on at the University of Pennsylvania as a staff radiologist where she performs clinic duties covering radiography/fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, CT and MRI, and teaches residents, interns and students. Her top interest is thoracic imaging, but she also has created a niche for herself in contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), as she is the only radiologist at Penn Vet that performs these studies.
