Originally from Alaska, Dr. Shafford obtained her DVM from Colorado State University in 2000 and attained board certification by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2005. She owns and operates an independent anesthesia specialty consulting practice in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Shafford provides anesthesia care for high-risk patients, leads in-clinic workshops for teams, and lectures extensively to veterinary professionals. She is particularly passionate about improving anesthesia safety and comfort for feline patients.
