This presentation will discuss the implications of impaired intestinal permeability "leaky gut" in horses. Mechanisms and clinical syndromes that result in leaky gut will be presented followed by discussions of the clinical impact at both the intestinal level as well as systemically. Diagnostics and therapeutics will be presented including equine literature and literature from other species.
