The purpose of this panel is to explore the roles of the DACVAA in private practice, including but not limited to protocol (anesthesia, sedation, pain management) developer, technician and house officer trainer, case manager (primary or supervising anesthetist), provider of advanced techniques (blocks, lines, airway management, etc), patient safety advocate, equipment expert, referring/primary DVM educator, team leader, etc. Attendees will hear multiple perspectives on being a DACVAA in private practice and how the many roles of the DACVAA can be managed by as few as one person.
