The use of 3D printing in veterinary medicine and veterinary neurology in particular has been rapidly developing over the last few years. The fields of application ranges from spinal models for educational purposes to more detailed surgical planning with patient specific 3D printed template or patient specific implants. This seminar details the principle of 3D printing from image acquisition to post processing, including types of processes used that can be applied to veterinary spinal surgery.
