This session outlines a study performed to determine an appropriate reference range for symmetric dimethylarginine concentration in the serum of healthy neonatal Thoroughbred foals.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to recognise that neonatal foals have higher values of serum SDMA than adult horses
Upon completion, participant will be able to define the cut-off value for SDMA concentration in neonates as 168 µg/dL
