Discussing a Role for Pragmatic Veterinary Medicine

This session will explore the use of pragmatic medicine (practical, cost conscientious, outcomes-based care). We will discuss how decisions can be cost-conscientious but “costly” as well as how decisions can be expensive and still pragmatic. Dr. Kvitko-White will provide her own tips and tricks for getting the most out of your client’s investment into their pet’s health and how practical medicine results in better compliance and a better and more long-lasting veterinary patient client relationship. Attendees may be exposed to new ideas about collaboration across the spectrum of care and how working together in this particular way can help the pet, the client, and most importantly, the well-being of all veterinarians involved.
