Candidate Function: 3 Ds in Neuropathology: Detection, Description, Deduction

The lecture will instruct the audience in how to screen the surgically exposed, dissected, sliced and stained CNS for structural abnormalities, how to describe them using appropriate terminology, how to reflect systematically on their pathobiology and how to construct a morphological diagnosis. After an introduction of basic determinants and algorithms, the audience will witness the procedures in a set of mock cases. Thereafter, participants will be invited to provide their opinion in polls followed by swapping the presenter position.
