Dr. DeFrancesco is a Professor in Cardiology and Critical Care at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her DVM degree at Cornell University in 1991. She is double-boarded in Cardiology and Emergency and Critical Care and has been on faculty at NC State since 1995. She has been the recipient of numerous teaching and clinical awards.
