Dr. Gerald Beddies received a degree in veterinary medicine from the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany and completed his doctorate focusing on hematology at the Department of Internal Medicine for Companion Animals. Dr. Beddies started his career as large animal practitioner before he joined the Animal Health Pharmaceutical industry over 20 years ago to discover, develop and register new drugs in internal medicine indications in companion animals. He started at Bayer Animal Health in Monheim assuming various leadership roles in Research and Development in Germany and the United States. Since 2020, Dr. Beddies works for Elanco Animal Health currently serving as Senior Advisor for Indication Research Strategy & Projects.
