After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Psychology, I switched paths to become a veterinary technician at Angell Animal Medical Center. I moved to Raleigh, NC to work in both the ICU at NC State University's veterinary teaching hospital, as well as the ER for a local specialty practice. Constantly striving to learn more about the profession, I was thrilled to be accepted to NCSU's veterinary school. After a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Colorado State, I began a Cardiology Specialty Internship followed by Residency at Purdue University.
