Ariana Cherry is from Lithonia, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Applied Biotechnology from the University of Georgia. Ariana is currently a second-year graduate student pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University. Ariana is the recipient of The Texas A&M University Graduate Diversity Excellence Fellowship. Her research interest includes the development of non-invasive diagnostic tools for the early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease. She specifically wants to determine if miRNAs can be quantified in biofluids to describe the stage and progression of the disease. Ariana’s long term goal career goal is to attain a career in the biotechnology industry. Outside of research, Ariana enjoys reading, dancing, and watching movies.
