Sayaka graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she worked in a busy mixed practice in Tasmania before completing a Small Animal Internal Medicine internship at Murdoch University. She is currently completing a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine residency at Oregon State University. She is interested in all aspects of medicine, and especially enjoys immune-mediated disease, sepsis, infectious disease, haematological disorders, liver, kidney, and gastrointestinal infections.
