Dr. Sandra Diaz Yucupicio is a first year equine internal medicine resident and graduate student at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She hails from Mexico and has done internships in Kansas and California. This research abstract represents a portion of her Masters research assessing a new point-of-care viscoelastic coagulation device and its use in horses. Her desire is to improve care of critically horses and foals.
