Dr. Chigerwe is a Professor of Livestock Medicine and Surgery at UC Davis. He graduated from University of Zimbabwe in 2001. He completed a 1-year internship, and a 3-year residency in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery, a Masters in public Health, and a PhD in Pathobiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2003-2008. He became a Diplomate of ACVIM in 2007. His research interests include bovine neonatal immunology, and mental health and wellness in veterinary medical students.
