Patrick Barko graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and subsequently completed a small animal rotating internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. His research is focused on the investigation of host-microbiome interactions in dogs and cats with chronic enteropathies and endocrinopathies.
