Julia Felippe is a Professor of Medicine at Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with a Medica Veterinaria-degree from UNESP-Botucatu, Brazil in 1989. After working in equine practice, she performed internship and residency in equine internal medicine at Kansas State University from 1994-1998, and became board certified by the ACVIM. She completed a M.Sci.-degree studying equine developmental immunology and immunomodulators. From 1998-2002, she pursued her Ph.D.-degree in immunologyat Cornell University. In 2002, she joined the faculty at Cornell and developed her research program on equine neonatal immunology and immunodeficiencies.
