Sina graduated in 2004 from the University of Hannover, Germany and has completed her residency training in small animal internal medicine at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany and the Royal Veterinary College in London. In 2019, she received her PhD from the Texas A&M Gastrointestinal Laboratory where she worked on novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of feline chronic enteropathy. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with a special interest in small animal and translational gastroenterology.
