Dr. Florian Trefz graduated from Munich University in 2009 after which he prepared his doctoral and habilitation thesis at the Clinic for Ruminants of the same university. Dr. Trefz also completed a clinical residency and is a Diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management. In 2019, he took up a senior clinician position at the ruminat clinic of Bern University in Switzerland, before moving back to Munich University in 2021. His research interest focuses on calf diseases with emphasis on acid-base and electrolyte imbalances in neonatal calf diarrhea.
