Jörg Steiner currently serves as Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine, the Dr. Mark Morris Chair for Small Animal Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and the Director of the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M University. He has authored or co-authored more than 360 peer-reviewed articles, 100 book chapters, and 470 research abstracts. In 2018 Dr. Steiner received the AVMA Career Achievement Award in Canine Research. He was selected as a University Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M Univeristy in 2019 and as a Regent’s Professor of the Texas A&M University System in 2021.
