Dr Furr is a Diplomate of the ACVIM, and holds a PhD from University of Maryland in the field of neuroimmunology, as well as a Master of Arts in Medical Education from Michigan State University. Currently, Dr. Furr is Professor and Head of the Department of Physiological Sciences, and the Senior Assistant Dean of Professional Programs at Oklahoma State University CVM. He continues to teach and consult, and has spoken regularly at national and international meetings on topics of equine internal medicine, neonatalogy and neurology.
