Dr. Adams obtained her PhD in Veterinary Science from The University of Kentucky in 2008, and completed a Post-Doc in Equine Immunology and Endocrinology in 2011 at the Gluck Equine Research Center. After her Post-Doc, she was recruited as an Assistant Professor and in 2017 was promoted to Associate Professor at the Gluck Center. She is also Adjunct at LMU Vet School and a Mars Equestrian Fellow. Her research program encompasses the study of equine immunology and endocrinology in the areas of aging, PPID, obesity/metabolic syndrome, insulin dysregulation and stress.
