Eleanor Raffan is a boarded companion animal internal medicine specialist with experience in both first opinion and specialist referral practice. Following a PhD in the genetics of human obesity she has since 2013 combined clinical practice with research into the genetics of metabolic disease and obesity in dogs, investigating how genes link to disease in both animals and humans. In her current role as Lecturer in Systems Physiology at the University of Cambridge she leads a research group while maintaining a clinical obesity referral service.
