This presentation will be a focused discussion about what we know about bacteriuria and methods that might be used to help prevent bacterial colonization.

Understand the difference between subclinical bacteriuria and clinical urinary tract infections.
Discuss methods to prevent UTI.
Discuss theoretical options to reduced established bacterial colonies from the urinary tract.
