Sulforaphane supplementation has recently gained traction in cancer prevention and management. In this 50 minute session we will discuss the compound sulforaphane, its mechanisms of action, and review research of its use in both human and veterinary medicine. In addition, we will discuss potential future directions of how this compound could be utilized in veterinary medicine.

Learning Objectives:

Review sulforaphane, including its mechanism of action as well as its pharmacokinetic properties
Evaluate the current literature of sulforaphane in both human and veterinary medicine
Discuss potential future uses of this supplement in veterinary medicine
