Erin Elder grew up in the central coast California, and after completing an undergraduate degree in Animal Science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, she attended veterinary school at Ross University and UC Davis ultimately for clinical rotations. She attended her first internship at an equine private practice, at Delaney Veterinary Services in Alberta, then attended her second academic internship at the University of Minnesota for Large Animal Internal Medicine. She is now in her second year of Equine Internal Medicine Residency at North Carolina State University.
