Veterinarian - Internal Medicine Resident

Dr. Sidney Bannister is a resident in the internal medicine service at BluePearl - Maitland. She is particularly interested in immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, and immune-mediated thrombocytopenia. She graduated from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Her rotating internship was at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. She then pursued a specialty internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in sunny Los Angeles. Outside of work, Dr. Bannister enjoys cooking, hiking mountains, and going to the gym. She also likes spending time with her husband, dog, and two cats. She is a Tarheel born and bred.
