Dr. Laura Rayhel is an assistant professor at Midwestern University Companion Animal Clinic with the Small Animal Internal Medicine Department. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and obtained her DVM from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed a small animal rotating internship at Purdue University and a three-year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University, during which she completed a one-year didactic training program in extracorporeal therapies (UC Davis’s Hemodialysis Academy). Her clinical interests include management of chronic and acute kidney diseases and management of muscle wasting associated with chronic disease.
