Dr. Shen is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Virginia Tech, followed by a cardiology internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Shen then started an emergency and critical care internship at the University of Illinois prior to accepting her current position as a combined cardiology resident and post-doctoral research fellow at Chesapeake Veterinary Cardiology Associates and the University of Florida, respectively.
