Dr. Schlipf is a Colorado native and graduated from Colorado State University a number of years ago. He completed an equine medicine residency at Colorado State University. He spent several years in private practice in Montana, Michigan and Kentucky. He eventually found his way to Oregon State University where he spent more than 20 years before retiring. His interest in pain management included developing a pain elective with an anesthesiologist and instituting many changes in the large animal hospital making pain management a priority rather than an after thought.
