The Consensus Statement panel on Diagnosis and Treatment of Immune Thrombocytopenia in Dogs and Cats presents an overview of key diagnostic and treatment PI(E)CO format questions (Patient population, Intervention/Exposure/Evaluation, Comparator, Outcomes) focused on the workup and management of dogs and cats with ITP. Presented guidelines, including a novel diagnostic algorithm for ITP, were generated by a systematic review of available primary veterinary literature and revised with an extensive Delphi process.
