This session aims to report the findings of an International Multicenter Retrospective Study (2015 - 2020) investigating the prevalence, morbidity and mortality rates and risk factors associated with the mortality of 1450 horses with acute diarrhea admitted to 27 institution located in 4 different continents. We also aim to describe and compare the diagnostic and treatment approaches to equine diarrhea used in these institutions.

Learning Objectives:

The main purpose of this panel discussion is for the panelists to share their knowledge about colitis and provide insights regarding the current clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches used in equine hospitals worldwide for the management of horses with acute diarrhea.
This panel is an “up close and personal” discussion amongst the panelists and with the audience regarding the clinical diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of horses with acute diarrhea.
