CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets has grown from a single specialty practice founded in 1987 to be the nation's leading cardiology specialty with 16 locations serving over 31,000 pet patients annually. Our large, single-specialty model lets our cardiologists define their individualized career. CVCA has the largest group of boarded cardiologists, providing superior cardiac care across our locations. We give our cardiologists the freedom to provide exceptional cardiac care to their patients, but also the support of a team of peers for consults on tough cases or for support as needed, such as in research to advance veterinary medicine. 

We also have a large cardiac residency program, giving residents a robust learning experience in a highly-supported 3-year program. Our program offers rich, multi-dimensional residency with teaching didactics, mentoring, rotations, research, and peer learning.  We also provide board preparation support, so every resident has the tools to successfully pass their certification boards. 

As demand for CVCA cardiac care services grows, CVCA is opening new locations to meet this increased demand. We have 16 locations currently open in Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Texas and Oregon. In 2022, we are opening new locations in Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Southern California. CVCA has plans to expand to even more locations over the next few years.
