Dr. Hoenig is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine/Geriatrics at Duke University Medical Center and she is Rehabilitation & Extended Care Lead at the Durham VA Medical Center. Dr. Hoenig has over 30-years of experience in clinical rehabilitation and in rehabilitation research. and was a VA Service Chief for over 25 years, responsible for the productivity and quality of multidisciplinary rehabilitation and spinal cord injury/disorders services across the entire continuum of care at the Durham VA Health Care Center. Currently she is Lead for Rehabilitation & Extended care for the Durham VA Health Care System and Business Owner for the VA Mobile App "My VA Images - Photo/Video". Dr. Hoenig has been PI and Co-I on multiple clinical research studies with national and international collaboration, with a focus on assistive technology and tele-rehabilitation. She is Deputy Editor for the Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Hoenig is internationally recognized for her expertise in telehealth, geriatric rehabilitatin and rehabilitation research.
