Gregory T. Smith PhD is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Washington. He is the past Director of Progressive Rehabilitation Associates (PRA) in Portland Oregon and South West Washington. PRA provides interdisciplinary day treatment and outpatient services for people who have sustained brain injuries and who have chronic pain.
His area of interest and investigation has been in rehabilitation and health care psychology, primarily in the psychological adjustment and treatment of persons who sustained injuries with protracted impairments and disabilities. Dr. Smith has published in professional journals and other publications and medical textbook chapters on the treatment of pain. Most recent research interest has been in the area of pain rehabilitation outcomes. His latest book chapter is entitled "Pain" in the textbook, "Behavioral Medicine in Primary Care, 5th Edition" edited by MD Feldman and JF Christensen, Lange, 11-2020.
Dr. Smith is a active member of the American Psychological Association, Rehabilitation and Health Care Divisions, the American Congress of Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Pain Management as well as regional and local pain and brain injury associations.
