Deborah is a board certified neurologic physical therapist since 2010 and treating therapist in the inpatient rehab setting since 2006. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2006 and received the American Physical Therapy Association Mary McMillan Scholarship. She was also recently selected as the Ohio Physical Therapy Clinical Instructor of the Year in 2021. Deborah leads the Cleveland Clinic Rehab Hospital system stroke program across three sites with 180 beds which achieved CARF accreditation in 2019. She is active with research involving high intensity gait, fall prevention, and use of exoskeleton for early rehab. She serves as a clinical instructor over her career for over 30 physical therapy students from programs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. She serves as a resource for use of body weight support, functional electrical stimulation, and gait training techniques for her hospital system. She has also assisted with labs at Walsh University School of Physical Therapy.
