Assistant Director, Center for Outcomes and Assessment & Center for SCI Research
Kessler Foundation

I am a social epidemiologist with an established body of work applying population health research methods to outcomes studies in adult and pediatric rehabilitation populations. I have over 15 years of experience in conducting survey research, designing quantitative and qualitative studies, and applying advanced biostatistics to the analysis of large datasets. My research in spinal cord injury (SCI) has provided evidence to support the importance of the social determinants of health in shaping long-term rehabilitation outcomes and the role environmental factors in the disabling process. My studies have investigated a range of outcomes including employment, community participation, health and functioning, and psychosocial well-being. I have collaborated with colleagues over my career to add to the scientific evidence on caregiver stress, mental health complications, and health disparities in the SCI population.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
