Professor
University of Texas Medical Branch
Galveston, Texas, United States
I have more than 20 years of experience in conducting health services research. I have studied patterns of care, treatment effectiveness, and health outcomes using a variety of large administrative data sets. I am a multi-PI for a NIDA R01, a PI for an AHRQ T32, and a PI of core facility award funded by Cancer Prevention and Resarch Institute of Texas. Many of studies supported by these grants use Medicare data linked to other large datasets. My areas of interest in statistical research include survival data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, hierarchical linear model, and hierarchical generalized linear mix model. I have been a biostatistics mentor for junior faculties, pre-doc and post-doc fellows from schools of medicine, health professions, and nursing. I am the director of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design at CTSA, the core leader of Analysis Core for the Texas Resource Center on Minority Aging Research, and the core leader of the Biostatistics and Data Management Resource Core for the UTMB Pepper Center. I have worked with Dr. Reistetter for health services research in post-acute care in the past 8 years.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
