Kevin Pritchard is an occupational therapist with experience in acute care practice and management. His research uses large data (Medicare or private insurance claims, AHRQ's Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, Health and Retirement Study) with prior experience using electronic health record data. Currently, he is funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health via an F31 Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award titled, "Determinants and effectiveness of non-pharmacologic pain interventions versus prescription opioids". Kevin is a health services researcher with an interest in pharmacoepidemiology and comparative effectiveness research. His goal is to improve access to low-risk pain treatments and contribute to practice guidelines for treating pain.
