Dr. Tzen have had 10 years of experience dedicated to pressure injury prevention and early detection with non-invasive microcirculation measurements on patients with spinal cod injury. She was trained in both physical therapy and rehabilitation technology. Her expertise in rehabilitation technology includes bioinstrumentation and biological signal processing. Her laboratory has extensive experience in collecting and analyzing skin blood flow and oxygen saturation signals in elderly population, people with spinal cord injury, and diabetic population. Dr. Tzen have worked on pressure ulcer research with patient population at trauma center, inpatient rehabilitation facility and long-term care facility. Dr. Tzen's research study is currently funded by the Paralyzed Veterans of America Research Foundation.
