Emily J Almeida, MS, is a biostatistician at Craig Hospital (Englewood, CO). She received her undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Medicine from Missouri Valley College before attaining her Master of Science degree in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics from Duke University School of Medicine in 2018. Her thesis work utilized longitudinal and survival analysis methods to assess incentivizing distinct behavioral changes on a variable ratio schedule. Within the same study, conducted at Duke University Medical Center, she captured the validity of implementing in-home devices as a new cost effective form of data collection via multiple known concordance analysis methods. She currently acts as a statistician and programmer for projects within the TBI Model Systems National Data and Statistical Center. Her primary work consists within the VA, acting as a programmer for quarterly registry reports and statistician for the PRC systems.
