My name is Sular Gordon. I completed the Community Research Fellows Training Program (CRFT) a comprehensive 17 week public health research training course through PECaD at Washington University School of Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center.. I am a member of the disability community who was part of the research team(WashU STL; University of Pittsburg; and University of Illinois) that developed a rehabilitation intervention called ENGAGE. ENGAGE is a skill training program that merges social learning and guided discovery to promote community participation after stroke. In the Discovery Guide ENGAGE Intervention sessions I served as the Peer Mentor. I worked closely with the OT in conducting the group sessions.
