Aiko Thompson is an Associate Professor at College of Health Professions at Medical University of South Carolina. Her research aims to understand CNS plasticity as it relates to motor control, and to learn how to guide it to help restore useful function in people after neuromuscular disorders. Her current research focuses on investigating functional roles of spinal reflexes during dynamic motion and evaluating the CNS plasticity associated with operant conditioning of spinal reflexes and motor evoked potentials in people with and without CNS damage.
