Catherine (Katie) Siengsukon ,PT, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training and is the Director of the Sleep, Health, & Wellness (SleepWell) Laboratory at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Siengsukon’s research agenda includes understanding the association between sleep and health-related outcomes (including pain, fatigue, physical and cognitive function) and investigating behavioral interventions (including exercise and CBT-I) to improve sleep outcomes in older adults and in individuals with neurologic conditions. Dr. Siengsukon’s research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr. Siengsukon received her MPT from Rockhurst University in 2002 and her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2008.
She earned the Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine in 2022 and is a Certified health and Wellness Coach.
