LaToya Adekoya is a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Department of Rehabilitation Services at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (UT MDACC). She is a board certified clinical specialist with vast experience working with various subgroups within the Oncology population; most specifially the Stem Cell Transplant population. Her clinical and research interests include: decreasing risk of functional decline of ADL/IADL and cognitive engagement with SCT oncology patients and various treatment and interventions targeted to enhance Fatigue Management, Sleep Hygiene, and Functional Cognition in high-risk populations receiving cellular therapy. As the Lead Occupational Therapist for the Enhanced Recovery SCT program, she holds a strong passion to promote self-optimization and self-efficacy of patients to positively affect patient’s quality of life and to help them sustain an overall sense of wellness and normalcy with their daily roles/routines throughout the SCT continuum.
