Dr. Bryce Erich is a clinical neuropsychologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the clinical lead for neuropsychology services at the California Rehabilitation Institute (Cal Rehab). Dr. Erich complete his predoctoral internship in Honolulu, HI at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System, where he completed training in long-term evidence-based treatments for PTSD, neuropsychological assessment, psychiatric emergency triage, and engaged in research evaluating the use of technology for assisting and facilitating group-format treatments. Following time in Hawai’i, he returned to Los Angeles where he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was able to take part in the initial opening of Cal Rehab and the development of the Brain Injury Program. Following the completion of his fellowship, he remained at Cedars-Sinai and Cal Rehab where he completed an additional year-long specialty fellowship with a focus on Traumatic Brain Injury. As a fellow and member of the faculty, Dr. Erich has been instrumental in development of novel treatment programs for the acute phase of rehabilitation for individuals with brain injuries, taken an active role the development and implementation of guidelines for behavioral management, provided education and training for multi-disciplinary rehabilitation staff, and continues to be core clinician in the ongoing growth of Cal Rehab’s Brain Injury Program. Dr. Erich also maintains his foundation in psychotherapeutic and intervention-based patient care, with development of treatment groups for cognitive rehabilitation, individual and group-format mindfulness-based interventions for non-pharmacological pain management, and utilization of evidence-based treatments in the acute inpatient rehabilitation setting.
